Description
The first small tomato processing plant Founded in 1896, Rodolfi Mansueto S.p.A. is one of the oldest Italian industries producing chopped and crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, sauces, passata and tomato powder out of red, fresh, sound and natural tomatoes. It Is Here That Remigio Rodolfi, Uncle Of Mansueto, creates the first factory dedicated to the transformation of the tomato. For 120 years Rodolfi was, in the heart of the Food Valley, processing over 250,000 tons of fresh tomatoes in the three production plants of Ozzano Taro, Fontanini, and Castelguelfo. Italy is famous for its wide variety of tomatoes such as Cherry Tomatoes, Datterini Tomatoes, Plum Tomatoes (Roma variety) and Round Tomatoes used for diced and tomato paste. These varieties of tomatoes are ideally used for sauces as they contain less seeds with a thick skin making them easy to peel. Tomatoes contain anti-inflammatory nutrients, a large content of antioxidants. The deep red colour in tomatoes is also associated to the Lycopene, which is a carotenoid pigment and it is widely known for its outstanding antioxidant content. Awakens dormant taste buds and spirits: the classic among the spicy-hot sugos harmonises with all pasta variations, whether penne, spaghetti or gnocchi. The spicy pleasure of chilli peppers warms the sweet tomatoes, grown under the sun of the Italian field. This Arrabbiata sauce is prepared traditionally, without preservatives, ready to give your pasta a strong and decisive character. This piquant spice also feels very much at home as a filling between juicy lasagne layers. There’s no question about it: with this much temperament, you can go on a culinary tour!
