The orecchiette grandi are made from durum wheat and water. The orecchiette owes its name to its shape, because it means ears that is a concave shell to be made with the thumb or with the tip of a knife without blade. This special shape makes orecchiette suitable for most pasta recipes this makes the pasta also suitable for a vegetarian or vegan diet. The orecchiette cook easily and do not stick together. Due to the good quality of the pasta, the pasta sauce adheres well to the pasta and your pasta recipe will be even tastier!
