- Storage – Store in freezer if you do not plan an opening it for a while, or in the fridge once it’s opened. Store in an air tight container away from light.
Improper storage can affect the vibrancy, colour, and taste of matcha.
WHAT IS MATCHA ?
Matcha is a type of powdered, high quality green tea. Grown and prepared differently than regular green tea, it has higher amounts of caffeine and antioxidants.
RECIPE : MATCHA LATTE
- Sift 1 1/2 teaspoons matcha powder into a cup.
- Add 1 tablespoon hot water and stir until no lumps remain.
- Stir in 2 teaspoons honey to taste
- Add 3/4 cup hot milk and serve.
RECIPE – MATCHA FROYO ICE LOLLIES
- Whisk the 1 tbsp matcha powder with 400g coconut yogurt, 2-3 tbsp maple syrup and 100ml water.
- Pour into six ice lolly moulds and freeze for at least 4 hrs, or overnight.
How to brew:
- Put 1gm matcha in cup and add a little hot water.
- Whisk vigorously with bamboo whisk, stirrer or milk frother until thick paste is formed.
- Keep adding hot water in small amounts whisking with each addition (upto 150ml) until tea is frothy. Enjoy !
- If you like a strong cup of matcha, add one more gram of match to the mix.

Add In:
You can also mix the matcha powder into your cakes, chocolates, or other recipes for the characteristic match flavour.
You can make you morning lattes or add it to energy bars, cookies, ice cream, ice tea.
Matcha Banana Shake:
1/4 tsp Heapwell Matcha Powder,
2 tbsp hot water,
1 ripe banana,
1/2 cup fresh yogurt, 1/2 cup milk.
Blend All to make a shake.
