Description

Description

Sherry vinegar is used extensively in both Spanish and French cuisine. In 2008 France was the largest market for sherry vinegar. Vinaigrette made from sherry vinegar is particularly flavourful compared to vinaigrette made from standard wine vinegar and matches well with many foods. Our Sherry Vinegar is made only in the Jerez de la Frontera (Andalusia), in the hot, sunny south of Spain. While the climate is hot and dry, ocean breezes continually bring fresh air, an important component in Sherry Vinegar production. Our Sherry Vinegar is produced from “Palomino” grapes; grow in the unique microclimate of the Sherry region. It is a type of vinegar, More rounded than red wine vinegar, more complex than apple cider vinegar, and less cloying than balsamic. Capirete Sherry Vinegar exhibits 8% acidity, a dark Mahogany color, delicate aroma and a unique taste that commercial grade, domestic and younger products simply cannot match. Its acetic aroma has hints of dried fruits and qualities derived from its ageing in American oak barrels and using the Solera progressive barrel system. Its full-bodied flavour and well-balanced taste is strongly reminiscent of the wines from which it is created. The specialty of Sherry vinegar is that it is loaded with complex, nutty flavors you won’t find in other vinegars. And its 80 distinct aromatic compounds translate into more interesting salad dressings and crazy-good accents in soups and pan sauces that apple cider or rice vinegar could never hope to imitate. It should be preserved in room temperature-not in direct sunlight and kept tightly closed when not being used.

Ways to Use Sherry Vinegar:

1. Whisk it into (any) vinaigrette. Perhaps my most favorite and easiest way to use sherry vinegar is in a vinaigrette.

2. Add a splash to soup due to its high concentration in acidity and aromas.

3. Use it in marinades.

4. Drizzle over roasted meat, fish, and vegetables.
