This is your basic soya sauce, but with a Thai twist. Thai soya sauce has a mild and soft salty flavor not present in many other Asian soy sauces. Light Soy Sauce is traditionally made from the first pressing of fermented pure yellow soybeans. It is the most commonly used sauce in Chinese or Thai cooking. Light soya sauce is saltier, thinner, and more “refreshing” than dark soya sauce. Light soya sauce doesn’t have a rich caramel flavor. Light soya sauce is typically used for stir fries and dipping sauce, such as sauce for sushi and fried tofu.
